GOOD WILL MESSAGE
As we turn 60 today, I heartily felicitate with the president and Grand Commander of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo. I also profoundly felicitate with the Governor of Cross River State; His Excellency, Prof. Ben Ayade and Prof. Ivara Esu, his deputy, not forgetting the strong and resilient people of Boki LG, Cross River State and Nigeria at large.
Every 1st October, reminds us strongly of the sacrifices of our heroes past, in their unyielding strive to earn for us a great, independent and indivisible nation. It also strengthens our collective resolve to live harmoniously, to execute and perpetuate good governance and to succeed as one people, pursuing one destiny.
Our nation has been through several throes from years of Military dictatorship, the civil war, insurgency, epidemics, corruption etc. But despite our seemingly debilitating challenges, we have learnt to never say never. We have dared inspite of all, to scale heights in the health care, in education, in sports, in entertainment, even in the economy etc.
We are proud that at 60, we are waxing even stronger, raising global legends in every societal sphere. Today, our local government system is enjoying the dividends of your untiring labour and that of our heroes past. We are indeed grateful to God for coming this far.
May almighty God continue to build Nigeria and Cross River State and Boki LG to keep it as one united nation, bounded in peace and progress.
