Former General Officer Commanding (GOC), Chief of Training and Policy (CTOP), Army Headquarters, Maj-General Moses Obi (rtd), has urged Nigerians as well as Christians to embrace Peace as they celebrate Christmas.
Major-General Obi, who is the Chairman of Ochibe Boki, an umbrella body of sons and daughters of Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State, advised Nigerians to engage only in activities that would enhance peace and harmony in their immediate environment and beyond, in the true spirit of the season.
In a statement made available to Boki Blog, Major-General Obi calls for unity, prayers for Nigeria,’ said the Christmas period calls for sober reflection even as he enjoined Christians to pray for the country amidst challenges.
He said the character of Jesus Christ, “who is the main reason for the celebrations, should reflect in the life of every Christian”.
