President Bola Ahmed Tinubu moments ago, administered oath of office to Dr Betta Edu and other ministers-designate, formally ushering them in as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. By this, they are to resume their duties in their respective ministries.

The swearing-in ceremony which took place at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, had several dignitaries among whom were Vice President Kashim Shettima; Senate President Godswill Akpabio; House of Representatives Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas and top government functionaries.

Dr Betta Edu was a former Commissioner for Health in Cross River State and immediate past National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, before her appointment by President Bola Tinubu as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

Also sworn in are Senator John Owan-Enoh, Minister of Sports Development; Uju Kennedy, Minister of Women Affairs; Engr. David Umahi, Minister of Works and Nkiruka Onyejeocha, Minister of State, Labour and Employment.


Others are;
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo

Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources: Ekperikpe Ekpo

Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources: Heineken Lokpobiri among others.
