As Bakor celebrates her New Yam Festival today, Popular philanthropist and Chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Hon Abang Pius Besong aka Ab Amani Jojo, has heartily felicitated with the traditional council and the entire people of Bakor extraction in Cross River State on the epoch occasion of this year's New Yam Celebration.

Hon Abang in a goodwill message made available to us by his media team, thanked God almighty for the bumper harvest and extended his sincere appreciation to the Bakor people for being law abiding while observing the age-long tradition of their cultural festival.
The Governor of a common man said; the New Yam Festival offers everyone the ample opportunity to come together and showcase their rich cultural heritage in a peaceful and friendly manner. He however, enjoins the people to celebrate the festival in peace and harmony and void of all forms of negative vices.
