The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has partnered with the Office of the First Lady of Cross River State, Bishop Eyoanwan Otu, to empower women in the state. This collaboration aims to enhance women's economic independence and support the state's development, aligning with Governor Bassey Otu's "People's First Mantra Administration". Dr. Julius Obanghe Kijuo, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Youth Development and popularly known as the "Political Star Boy", is part of the administration driving development initiatives.
The partnership's key highlights include providing vocational skills and job opportunities to women, enhancing their economic prospects. Bishop Eyoanwan Otu has assured her readiness to partner with NDE, leveraging her humanitarian initiatives to benefit women in Cross River State. This initiative is expected to positively impact women's lives, fostering economic growth and development in the state.
As SSA on Youth Development, Dr. Kijuo has been instrumental in supporting the Governor's vision and plans for youth development. His appointment into this role is a testament to his unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and development in Cross River State. With this partnership, the First Lady's commitment to empowering women aligns with her humanitarian efforts, which have previously benefited various groups, including female commercial drivers and vulnerable children.
