Residents of Alomeye community in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State have raised concerns over the deteriorating condition of Government Primary School in the area, describing the learning environment as unsafe and unsuitable for pupils.
According to community members, several classrooms in the school are in a poor state, with damaged roofs, cracked walls, and inadequate learning facilities. They lamented that pupils are forced to learn under harsh conditions, especially during the rainy season when leaking roofs disrupt classes.
The residents have called on the Cross River State Government and relevant authorities to urgently intervene by renovating the school and providing basic learning infrastructure to create a safe and conducive environment for teaching and learning.
