An APC stakeholder, Nura Whyte, has publicly declared support for the continued leadership of Hon. Victor Abang, urging critics and political opponents to allow the lawmaker “breathe” ahead of the 2027 political season.
In a statement that has since sparked reactions across political circles, Whyte said:
“The devil we know is better than the angel we do not know. Let Hon. Victor Abang breathe. I support Mature until 2031.”
The statement is being interpreted by many as an endorsement of continuity for Hon. Victor Abang, who currently represents the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Victor Abang, popularly known among supporters as “Mature,” has remained one of the prominent political figures in the constituency, with debates around his performance and possible re-election already gaining momentum ahead of 2027.
