The lineup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been completed after the final qualification playoffs confirmed the last teams that will participate in the tournament.
The 2026 edition of the tournament will be historic as it will feature 48 teams for the first time, expanding from the previous 32-team format used in past World Cups. The competition will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico between June 11 and July 19, 2026.
The three host countries automatically qualified for the tournament, while the remaining teams secured their places through continental qualification tournaments and intercontinental playoffs.
Football giants such as Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Spain and England are among the teams that will feature in the tournament, while some nations will be making their first ever appearance at the World Cup.
Countries like Uzbekistan, Jordan, Cape Verde and Curaçao are set to make their debut on the world stage after successfully navigating the qualification rounds.
