A 45-year-old man has been arrested in Cross River State over the alleged killing of his younger brother in a shocking incident reported in Abi Local Government Area.
The incident occurred at Igbo Imabana community, where the victim was reportedly attacked late at night. According to police, the case was brought to their attention in the early hours of April 11 by a family member who raised the alarm.
Police operatives from the area swiftly moved to the scene, evacuated the victim’s body, and deposited it at a mortuary in Itigidi. The suspect was later apprehended and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further questioning.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing, with efforts also underway to identify and arrest anyone else who may be connected to the incident.
