President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in Cross River State after securing 113,911 votes during the exercise conducted across the state.

The result was announced in Calabar by Governor Bassey Otu, who served as the state returning officer and coordinator for the primary election.

According to the governor, the state recorded 121,260 registered voters for the presidential primary, while a total of 113,912 votes were cast. Tinubu secured 113,911 votes, while his challenger, Stanley Osifo, polled zero votes.

Governor Otu stated that the results from Cross River would be forwarded to Abuja for collation alongside results from other states before the final nationwide declaration is made.

He explained that delays in announcing the results were caused by difficult terrain and logistics involved in coordinating reports from different parts of the state.

The outcome further strengthens Tinubu’s growing support within the APC structure in Cross River ahead of the 2027 general elections, following several endorsements by party stakeholders in recent months.
