A newly appointed Special Assistant on Stakeholder Engagement for the Central Senatorial District, Hon. Ikobi A. Ikobi, has expressed gratitude to Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, for appointing him into his administration.
In a letter dated June 14, 2026, and addressed to the Governor, Ikobi described the appointment as a privilege and thanked Governor Otu for considering him worthy of serving in the state government.
The appointee stated that he was recently appointed as Special Assistant on Stakeholder Engagement for the Central Senatorial District and pledged to carry out the responsibilities of the office diligently.
According to him, the assignment involves engaging stakeholders across the six local government areas that make up the Central Senatorial District.
Ikobi noted that he fully understands the demands of the position and is prepared to deploy his experience and political background towards achieving the objectives of the administration.
He further assured Governor Otu of his loyalty and commitment, expressing confidence that he would justify the trust reposed in him.
“I profoundly appreciate Your Excellency for finding me worthy to handle this important assignment of engaging stakeholders within the six local governments of the Central Senatorial District,” he stated.
The Special Assistant also promised to work tirelessly to ensure effective communication and collaboration between the government and key stakeholders within the district.
He concluded the letter by thanking the governor once again and declaring that “work has begun,” signaling his readiness to immediately commence duties in his new office.
The appointment is part of Governor Otu’s ongoing efforts to strengthen stakeholder engagement and grassroots participation across the state.
