The Cross River State Police Command has heightened security in parts of Boki Local Government Area following renewed tension between the Boje and Isobendeghe communities.
In a statement, the Command said it was aware of the latest development and had intensified security efforts in the area while engaging relevant stakeholders to de-escalate the situation and promote peace.
According to the police, the affected area is currently relatively calm, with security personnel maintaining close surveillance and monitoring developments.
