The Cross River State Police Command has announced that it is investigating the disappearance of a 17-year-old boy identified as Martins Okokon Bassey, who reportedly went missing in Calabar.

According to a press release issued by the Police Public Relations Department on May 20, 2026, the case was reported at the Akim Division by Mr. Okokon Bassey of No. 8 Eyo Ishie Street, Calabar.
Police said the teenager allegedly left home on March 21, 2026, at about 12 noon and has not been seen since then.

The missing boy was described as light-skinned, approximately 6.5 feet tall, and fluent in both English and Efik languages.

The Command stated that efforts are ongoing to trace and locate the teenager, urging members of the public with useful information to assist the investigation.
