The Wan-Osowo Political Movement has congratulated Hon. Chief Douglas Ogar, popularly known as Wan Osowo, following his conferment with an Honorary Doctorate in Business Policy and Strategic Management by the British American Open University of California.

The honorary degree was awarded on 20th December 2025 and has been described by members of the movement as a proud and well-deserved recognition of Hon. Ogar’s leadership journey and commitment to service.

In a statement released by the group, the movement noted that the honour reflects Hon. Ogar’s strong leadership capacity, strategic thinking, and consistent dedication to community development, good governance, and human capital growth. According to them, his contributions to politics and development have continued to make impact beyond the local level, gaining recognition on a global academic platform.

The movement also highlighted the significance of Hon. Ogar being honoured alongside prominent national figures, including Governor Alex Otti of Abia State; Professor Babagana Zulum, Governor of Borno State; Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State; Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State; and His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Emir of Sokoto. They described the company as a clear indication of the credibility and national relevance of the award.

Members and supporters of the Wan-Osowo Political Movement expressed confidence that the recognition would further motivate Hon.
