Cross River-born sports entrepreneur and Ikan owner, Utibe Ayi, has remained optimistic despite the team’s recent heavy defeats, insisting that their Showtime playoff ambitions are still alive.
Speaking after another disappointing result, Ayi said the team is still undergoing a rebuilding process and appealed to supporters to remain patient as the project continues to develop.
According to him, setbacks are part of the journey, stressing that the club remains focused on long-term growth rather than temporary challenges.
“We are still building,” Ayi stated, while expressing confidence that the team can bounce back strongly and remain competitive in the race for a playoff spot.
Despite suffering heavy losses in recent matches, the Ikan owner maintained that the squad still possesses the quality and determination needed to fight for qualification.
He also urged players, supporters, and stakeholders to stay united as the season enters a crucial stage, insisting that the club’s Showtime playoff dream is far from over.
