The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Cross River State has called on Governor Bassey Otu’s administration to ensure that governance remains inclusive, stressing that the state belongs to every citizen and not only members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
IPAC’s position comes amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the council warning against actions or policies that could create the impression that government resources and opportunities are reserved for one political party.
The council, which serves as an umbrella body for registered political parties, emphasised the need for fairness, equal participation and respect for the democratic space in the state.
According to the group, while the APC currently controls the state government, governance should extend beyond party lines and accommodate citizens with different political affiliations.
