Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State has handed over brand new electric vehicles to Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service as part of efforts to improve mobility, enhance productivity and modernise government operations.
The vehicles are expected to support the Permanent Secretaries in the effective discharge of their official responsibilities while contributing to the state government’s drive towards sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.
The initiative forms part of the administration’s broader commitment to introducing innovations in governance, improving public service delivery and promoting cleaner energy alternatives across the state.
Permanent Secretaries, who serve as administrative heads of ministries and government agencies, are expected to leverage the vehicles to improve coordination, efficiency and service delivery within the civil service.
The move further highlights Governor Otu’s focus on strengthening government institutions through reforms and modern infrastructure aimed at achieving a more efficient public sector.
