The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has declared its determination to deliver massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu in the 2027 general elections.
The State APC Chairman, Chris Etta, made the position known during the party’s ongoing mobilisation activities across the state, saying Cross River has reasons to support Tinubu because of what he described as the President’s intervention in some of the state’s long-standing challenges, particularly its oil wells and financial difficulties.
Etta said the APC has mobilised thousands of support groups across the state to take the campaign to communities, wards and polling units. He said Cross River has “found a party and a man” who has given the state hope of reclaiming its oil wealth.
The APC chairman also pointed to issues including the state’s oil-producing status and proposed Bakassi Deep Seaport as reasons for supporting the Tinubu administration. He further urged party supporters to work at the grassroots, stressing that the 2027 election would be won at the polling-unit level.
The declaration comes as the APC intensifies its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections, with the party seeking to consolidate its position in Cross River and secure another term for both Tinubu and Otu.
