The Cross River State Police Command has commissioned a newly constructed Police Outpost donated by a retired senior police officer and indigene of Adim Community in Biase Local Government Area, AIG (Rtd.) Dr. Okon O. Effiong.

The facility was commissioned on Saturday, August 22, 2026, by the Commissioner of Police, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking during the ceremony, CP Ordue described the donation as a strong show of patriotism, community ownership and partnership with the Police.

He said the new outpost would help strengthen police operations, improve security services and enhance the protection of lives and property in Adim and neighbouring communities.

The Commissioner formally accepted the facility on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force and assured the donor that it would be put to responsible and judicious use.

He charged officers deployed to the outpost to maintain discipline, professionalism and integrity, while respecting the rights of residents.

CP Ordue also called on members of the community to support the Police by providing timely and credible information that could help prevent crime and maintain peace.

The Commissioner commended AIG (Rtd.) Dr. Okon O. Effiong for the initiative, describing his contribution as selfless, and encouraged other individuals and communities to support efforts aimed at improving security infrastructure.

He expressed confidence that the new facility would become a strategic point for promoting peace, safety and stronger police-community relations in Adim and surrounding communities.
