The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign for the 2027 elections gained fresh momentum in Nnam Ward, Ikom Local Government Area, as the party’s House of Representatives candidate for Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency, Hon. Abang Pius Besong, led the party’s “Journey of Possibilities 2027” consultation to the community.
The consultation attracted a warm reception from residents, with what was initially planned as a political engagement developing into a lively gathering marked by interaction between the candidate and members of the community.
Besong was joined by Hon. John Ifere, the PDP candidate for Cross River Central Senatorial District, whose presence added further political weight to the consultation and brought the senatorial campaign into the engagement with voters in Ikom.
The visit provided Besong an opportunity to connect directly with residents, listen to community concerns and further introduce his campaign ahead of the 2027 election.
The consultation is part of the PDP candidates’ ongoing engagement with communities across the district, with the candidates urging residents to remain active in the democratic process, ask questions and assess the programmes and commitments being presented to them.
As the “Journey of Possibilities 2027” continues, Besong and his PDP colleagues are expected to take the consultation to more communities across Ikom and other parts of Cross River Central.
