The leadership of the Obi/Kwankwaso (OK) Movement, Cross River State Chapter, on Saturday, 26th September 2026, held its first enlarged meeting of State and Local Government Executives at the Movement’s Secretariat in Calabar.
The historic meeting was hosted and presided over by the State Coordinator, High Chief Ray Ugba Morphy.
In attendance were State Executive Officers and Local Government Coordinators of the OK Movement drawn from across the 18 LGAs of the state who converged in Calabar for the crucial physical meeting.
The meeting began with LGA Coordinators giving detailed situation reports on the growth, challenges and progress of the OK Movement in their respective Local Government Areas. Each coordinator shared insights on mobilization, ward structure, and grassroots acceptance of the Obi/Kwankwaso ticket.
The reports were followed by responses, guidance, and strategic updates from the State Executive Officers and the Secretariat on the next line of action to ensure the core objective of the movement – to deliver Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso in the 2027 Presidential election under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) – is achieved.
Addressing the coordinators, High Chief Ray Ugba Morphy commended the LGA Coordinators for their sacrifice, loyalty and commitment to driving the movement at the grassroots despite challenges. He charged them to remain united, focused and to intensify ward-to-ward and unit-to-unit mobilization.
In a show of leadership and generosity, the State Coordinator supported the LGA Coordinators with the sum of N1,500,000 (One Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira) to aid their transportation back to their respective LGAs.
The gesture drew wide commendation as the LGA Coordinators thanked High Chief Morphy for his show of love, fatherly support, and for restoring unity, peace and cohesion back into the OK Movement in Cross River State.
They pledged their unalloyed loyalty to the State leadership and vowed to double their efforts to deliver their LGAs.
The meeting ended with renewed vigour, unity and a clear roadmap for the next phase of mobilization ahead of 2027.
