The State Executive Council of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Cross River State, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police in strengthening community policing and improving security across the state.
The PCRC executives made the commitment when they paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, at the Command Headquarters in Calabar on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
During the visit, the committee pledged to deepen its partnership, cooperation and collaboration with the Police Command, particularly in building stronger relationships between the police and communities.
The PCRC said sustained police-community engagement was important in promoting public trust and supporting efforts to address security challenges across Cross River.
Responding, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue appreciated the committee for its continued support to the Command.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of maintaining a strong relationship between the police and members of the public, noting that effective collaboration with communities remains vital to achieving a safer Cross River State.
