Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has urged his supporters and political associates in Cross River State to abandon the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) umbrella and embrace the All Progressives Congress (APC) broom ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Jarigbe made the call during a political gathering in Cross River North, where he appealed to his supporters to support the administration of Governor Bassey Edet Otu and give the government the benefit of the doubt.
Speaking to the gathering, the senator reportedly used the political symbols of both parties to drive home his message, telling supporters: “Thumb print on the broom, no more umbrella.”
The statement signals a significant shift in the political direction of Jarigbe and his supporters, particularly in Cross River North, where the senator has maintained a strong political base.
