Political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections are beginning to gather serious momentum in the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency as aspirants intensify consultations, grassroots engagement, and strategic outreach across communities in both local government areas.
Among the emerging voices in the race is Prince Joseph Bessong Enu, who has openly appealed to constituents for support, unity, and collective commitment towards building a stronger and more prosperous federal constituency.
In a message addressed to the people of Ikom/Boki, Prince Enu expressed humility and sincerity in his aspiration to represent the constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, noting that leadership must remain people-centered and accessible.
“My dear good people of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency, I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the only one that makes impossibility possible. Today, I seek your support with humility and sincerity of purpose,” he stated.
The aspirant further noted that he understands the realities and challenges facing the people because he lives among them and shares in their daily experiences.
“I live with you and understand very clearly the problems we are facing in the constituency and with our hands joined together we shall overcome,” he added.
Prince Joseph Bessong Enu also called on constituents to remain hopeful and united, stressing that collective effort and visionary leadership are critical to the development of the federal constituency.
Political observers say the 2027 contest for the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency is already shaping into a major political battle, especially within the ruling APC, as conversations around zoning, equity, and fair representation continue to dominate political discussions across the constituency.
In recent months, many stakeholders and constituents, particularly from Boki, have continued to advocate for power rotation within the constituency, insisting that equity and fairness should guide the emergence of the next representative at the National Assembly.
Supporters of Prince Enu describe him as a grassroots politician with strong community ties, youthful energy, and a growing support base across wards in both Ikom and Boki local government areas.
As consultations intensify ahead of party primaries, political watchers believe more declarations, alliances, and strategic engagements are expected in the coming months as aspirants position themselves for what many already describe as a defining election for the future of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency.
